Since we've been back, I have been feeling the baby move less and less. It was making me a little nervous so I called the doctor's office this past Friday. They had me come in so they could hook me up to some monitors and do a Non-Stress Test (I think that's what it was called). The baby had a good heartbeat, but he's not super active. I hope this means we'll have a mellow baby. It wouldn't surprise me because Matt's mom said he was very calm as a baby. I think I was a calm baby/child also- so perhaps he has the genetic make-up to be calm... We'll see! They also said that the placement of the placenta is likely cushioning many of his movements. I have my 28 week appointment this Tuesday where they will check for gestational diabetes. I think after this appointment, I will have to go back every two weeks instead of every four weeks. So, that tells me I'm getting closer and closer!
I still feel really good. I am hungry ALL THE TIME. That's my biggest concern. I do NOT understand how people stay skinny when they are pregnant. I am walking 3.5 miles every day, but I still feel really big everywhere! I also wake up several times during the night, which is a little annoying. (I know, it will be much worse once the baby's here!) Otherwise- I'm still enjoying being pregnant. We got our diaper bag two weeks ago and his carseat/stroller this week, which makes everything more real. I can't wait to actually have the baby to go inside the carseat & stroller! We're still debating over names. We have lots of names we like, but I don't think I'll feel really good about any of them until he arrives and we can see what he looks like.
