Wow! Summer is just around the corner... Yay! Here's what we've been up to the past several months:
We spent our first Thanksgiving together! We started it out by running a 5K with Steve, Angie, & their family. (Steve is Matt's brother.)
After the race, we spent Thanksgiving dinner with Matt's family. It was the first time in 5 years he's spent the holidays with his parents because they had been missionaries and mission presidents in Ghana for the past 5 years. This is the only picture we took! The baby is not ours, by the way. :)
After Thanksgiving dinner, we headed down to Brianhead in Southern Utah to spend a few days with my family. We spent it at my aunt & uncle's cabin. I didn't take any pictures... dumb, I know.
Matt also risked life and limb to get our stairway wall painted. I haven't taken any pictures of the finished project. Next time I have my camera out, I'll try to remember to do that.
We adopted this furry little friend and named her Eleanor.
On Christmas Eve, we had dinner at my dad's house. We have a tradition of going to a Chinese restaurant on Christmas Eve, but this year we just did Chinese take-out. Then, we played bingo with lots of prizes.
Then, we each gave each other Christmas pajamas before going to bed.
Christmas morning we woke up, opened gifts, went to church with Allison and Cam, watched their kids open their presents, then went to Matt's parents' for lunch. Eleanor had a blast tearing up all the wrapping paper.
Since Christmas, we haven't done a whole lot. For Matt's birthday in March, we went on a little getaway to the Zermatt Resort in Midway. We went swimming in a crater, then spent the night at the resort. It was a lot of fun. Nice and relaxing.
Matt has been staying busy as our ward's Scoutmaster. I think the bishop caught wind that I wasn't too happy about him being gone every Wednesday night plus one weekend a month-- so, he occupied MY Wednesday nights also by calling me to be the 1st counselor in Young Women's. We're both enjoying our callings. We have a great group of young men & women in our ward.
I'm looking forward to summer break! I have enjoyed being the TSA at Foothill and will do it again next year- but it will be nice to have a few weeks off to do whatever I want! Matt and I are trying to figure out a way to get out to Nashville (where he's from) at some point. We'll see if that happens or not. I've never been there and would love to see where he's from- but, we'll have to see how things work out.
Otherwise, not a whole lot is going on with us. We're enjoying married life!

I was excited too! You guys are super cute and I miss your squishy guts and cute little face. I want to kiss it. :)
